Like so many people, we didn't just watch Formula 1, we built traditions around it. The early alarms for races on the other side of the world.<\/p>
The 4am bacon sandwiches. The coffee that somehow always tasted better on a Sunday morning. The lucky mugs that simply had to come out because we'd won before using them. Cancelling plans because the race was on. Supporting different drivers, celebrating the victories, debating the incidents and laughing about it all afterwards.<\/p>
Over the years, racing became much more than a hobby. Through Formula Careers, I've dedicated my career to helping aspiring professionals find their way into Formula 1. I've been fortunate enough to work with teams and meet some incredible people who have devoted their lives to this sport.<\/p>
In a world where everyone seems busier than ever, race weekends have always had a way of bringing us back into the same room, even if we're at opposite ends of the country.<\/p>
The phones are put down (unless we're live-texting eachother!), the kettle goes on, someone inevitably starts talking strategy, somebody else disagrees with the stewards' decision, and for a couple of hours nothing else seems quite as important.<\/p>
Those moments are easy to overlook while you're living them, but they're the ones that quietly become some of life's happiest memories.<\/p>
Not to celebrate famous drivers or championship-winning moments, but to celebrate everything that happens around them. The rituals, the anticipation, the traditions and the memories that motorsport creates in our homes without us even realising.<\/p>
Every illustration begins as a watercolour, inspired by the little moments that make race weekends special.<\/p>
My hope is that these gifts become part of your own traditions too. Perhaps they'll be the mug you always reach for before the lights go out, the gift you give to someone who introduced you to racing, or the one that quietly reminds you of Sunday mornings spent together.<\/p>
Because one day, you probably won't remember every race result.<\/p>
